About Me

My photo
I LOVE scrap'n, craft'n and bake'n!!! I try all sorts of different tricks and I am a big fan of LOTS of color :) I bake and craft for my husband who has a love hate relationship with my baking and I bake for our wonderful Mini Church that happens every Wednesday. It's a great way to start our night and to gear us up to dig into the Word of God. I take different ideas that I see all around the world and combine them to make my own fun new project. I also have some great originals :] It's so amazing to see how creative people are and I love a good challenge. I have aprons & picture boards on my website www.DeLo-Designs.com and on Facebook, search for DeLo Designs. "Sassy Cakes" is our baking company, we have a Facebook page up with a lot of our creations listed on the site. Please check us out and "like" us :] Thank you and enjoy the site!!!

Dino-Mite!

For my sisters birthday this last week I decided to get blingy with it. After getting my new Peachy Keen Stamps I knew I had to make something with my Create a Critter cartridge. I decided on the always cute "dino". I cute the Dino at 3 1/2 and used my iRock for the jeweled spine, then topped it off with an acrylic "happy birthday stamp". Needless to say my sissy loved it! My other sister and I always have a card off. Hers was quite cute as well she made an explosion box. Here's her blog to check out. I hope you enjoy my card :)
Till Next time...

Operation Solid Lives Graduation Card

So me and my husband are in our second round of O.S.L., Operation Solid Lives through our church Hope Chapel. It's an amazing, challenging, worthwhile adventure! My mom and dad are in their first round which is 4 weeks long and boy does it blow your mind. You have to cut out all media (secular t.v., radio, newspapers, movies, etc.), read and journal daily, 3 sermons during the week, Sunday sermon, and a mid week service. It's not an easy class folks! There is something that happens with you and your relationship with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit that makes all that discipline (being a disciple) worth while.

Anyways I am making my mom and dad a graduation card and I have all these amazing rubber and acrylic stamps to use but struggle with coloring them in. I turned to one my favorite bloggers Paula. Paula does a blog called "More Than Favors by Paula", I wrote her because I KNEW she would have some great tips. So with a stamp, PRISMA Color Pencils and paint thinner I made this....

 Stamps says,
"The task ahead of us is never
as great as the power behind us"
(This is the back of the envelope)

 (front of envelope)

I love this technique so much, thanks Paula!! It's got the benefit of water color but so much less mess. I will be posting a lot on my website very soon and getting an icon to donate for beanies that I will be making for the kids at CHOC Hospital. I've been super busy with OSL, guitar and well life :) Hope you all enjoyed this, I know I did!

Now get to scrap'n!!!

How about a fun, ghoulish card to get this Thursday started?
This Dracula is from the Cricut Happy Hauntings Shape Cartridge and was cut at 4" to fit on this 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card.  I used red glitter paper for his cape and shiny silver paper for his face and hands.
I thought about putting red stickles down his chin but it seemed a little too gruesome and I worried I would smear it in my impatience to photograph the card.  Good to know yourself...LOL!  This "My Favorite Monster" stamp is from the Punkin Patch stamp set called Trick or Treat.  See below:

For the inside of the card, I used another Punkin Patch stamp set called Little Monsters (see below), as well as the "Happy Halloween" from the Trick or Treat set:

I am an affiliate for Punkin Patch stamps and if you would like to purchase some of these stamps, please click HERE.  They have a bunch of cute Halloween, Autumn and Christmas stamps that they have just come out with - check it out HERE.  The quality is outstanding - stamps perfectly the first time!
I pop dotted my vampire for the front of the card, after mounting it onto a Spellbinders oval die cut.
